Knitting, Knitting, Knitting

I have had a lot of great knitting time this week. Our church has a worldwide conference twice a year, and the October session took place this last weekend. I often knit during conference because it helps to keep me focused on the words, and I find that my mind doesn't wander nearly as much. Consequently, I was am now 75% finished with Amy's scarf. I have already checked off the hats for the 2 girls, 1 scarf and 2 right hand mittens. I love how soft the Swish Worsted is when it works up. I do find a bit of pilling and the yarn can be occasionally splity, but I still love the colors, and for the price, who can beat it.

I got a huge package of yarn in the mail yesterday!!! It is all the stuff I need to finish my Christmas projects, and them a couple of things for myself for Christmas!!! I am really looking forward to it, but I need to finish these projects first. I find that I am definitely a product knitter, meaning that I knit to enjoy the product. That is not to say that I don't enjoy the process, but it is the thought of the finished product which keeps me going. Consequently, I find that I am not the kind of knitter who can knit 3 or 4 projects at once. I tend to become absorbed by one project at the expense of the others, and often times the others never get finished, like that sweater that has been in the closet since I started knitting. I really should do something about that. It really only needs to have the sleeves finished. Either way, I am really excited about these new projects, which include the Tidings of Joy Kit and the line by line mittens and gloves. I will let you know what I think. In the meantime, I am posting a couple of pictures of the finished hats.
